T1�� vo�ce rad�o coverage requirernents to meet the a�'ea wifihin the City of Fort Worth (COFV�
jurisdiction boundaries, and areas of mutual aid operatio�s, can also provide radio coverage for the
City of Forest Hil� (COFH). As a result, ther� are economies-of-scaJe advantages in entering into an
agreement to share the acqui�sition and maintenance af a state-af-the-art elecironic infrastructuxe to
support voice xadio caverage for both jurisdictions for a twenty-year period defined as the life ofthe
system. �
Base�. on the above, COFH and CO�W enter inta a letter ofagre�ment as follows:
�. Inst�.11ation a.nd maintenance af the voice radio infrastructure will be the xesponsibility of the
COFW unless oth�rwise sta.tad 'u� t�is agre�ment.
2. C�FH will in itially acquire on� radio for use on the xadia infrastructure. System ulitialization
for COFH will begin when the radio is operatianal on the system.
3. The COFW will be responsible for reviewing the infrastru.cture loading. �f in th� opinion of
the COFW, other entities can be added to the system without adversely affeeting active
participants aver the life of the system, the COFW reserves the right to enter into a similar
agreement with these entities.
4. COFH paid the COFV� an amo�ant of �6Q0.0� per radio ID for use of the infrastr�,icture of the
syst�m. Payment was due and payable at systern initialization defined in 2 above.
5. COFH wi11 pay the COFW a prorated share of the to#al co�t for maintenance of �ie
infrastructure over the life of the system based on the number of radios. First full year
estimated cast af $�64A0 per radio ID. First maintenance infrastr�cture p�.yments will be .
dne and payable at the time of "use of infrastructur'e" payment specified in pa�ragraph 4, with
succeeding annual maintenance infra�t�ructure payments being due and payable on the
anniver�ary date thereafter.
6. The recurring cost i�n paragraph 5 above will be adjusted annually based on actual costs
prorated to users af the system.
7. COFH has the right to d.iscont�nue use of the infrastructure andlor radio maintenance support
with ninety-day's writtcn notice prior to the anniversaty date. C�FW has the right to remove
C�FH from the infrastructure far failure to make full payment systern costs within ninety
days after the anniversary date or %r maisuse of the system such as data transfer on the
system.
$. COFH will be re�ponsibl� far a11 non-infrastruchu� cvmponents of their system such as
radios and consoles and far any special equipment interfaced to the infrastrrac.'r�r�5rich as ID _

9. The City of Fort Warth will provide COFH with one {�) mobile and one (1) portable radia
of the sa.me type used by the City of Fort Worth for the purpose af tes�ng the radio coverage
of the operating area of CQFH. By signing this, COFH attest that it agrees that the radio
coverage in it,s operating area is satisfactory.
10. Te�ephone interconnect is nat available on the City of Fort worth Public Safety Trunked
Radia System and wi11 not be permitt�d. Private calls will nat be allowed if the system is
adversely affected.
11. The transmission o� data cammunications on the voice radio system will not be allowed.
