1. Report of the City Manager - David Cooke, City Manager
a. Upcoming and Recent Events
Mayor Parker called the City
o order 2:14 p.m. on Tuesday,
m 2020 of the Fort Worth City
City Manager Cooke called on Juan Paredes, Clerk of Municipal Court, to announce
Municipal Court Week, November 6th-10th. The opening ceremony was on Monday,
November 6, 2023.

7. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports
Mayor Pro tern Bivens requested information on options for moving City General
Municipal Elections to the uniform November Election Date.
Council Member Martinez requested information on what the City is doing to control the
cat population, what can we do to help the situation, how do we improve communication
about what we are doing to reach the 90% no -kill and how we close the gap.
Council Member Martinez requested information on options for including Council
resolutions as an option for recognizing residents.
Mayor Parker and Council Member Martinez requested information on the options
available for adopting low performing schools and outreach options to all of the school
districts in Fort Worth, specifically those serving the most at -risk students on what
resources are needed.
Council Members Crain and Beck requested a presentation on the various ordinances
relating to Short Term Rentals, Boarding Homes, Lodging Home and TEC Overlay, etc.
including when each apply, differences, enforcement and timeline for resolution of
complaints.
Council Member Williams requested a follow-up presentation on Informal Report
23-0764 - Business Equity Program and specifically what we are doing and
recommendations for what additionally could be done.
Council Member Lauersdorf requested information on what City programs are currently
in place for Veterans and how a resident can access the program.
Council Member Lauersdorf requested information on incentive options the City could
offer to veteran owned businesses and service disabled veteran owned businesses.
Council Member Blaylock requested an update on the City's Payroll System.
Council Member Crain requested information on what Development Services has done
regarding the recommendations from the Super Justice Report especially relating to
grease traps.
