FIRST AMENDMENT OF FORT WORTH
CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 58371
This FIRST AMENDMENT to Fort Worth City Secretary Contract No. 58371 ("Amendment")
is entered into by and between the City of Fort Worth (hereafter "City"), a home rule municipal
corporation organized under the laws of the State of Texas, with its principal place of business at
200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas, and CTJ Maintenance, Inc. (hereafter
"Vendor/Contractor").
WHEREAS, the City and Tarrant County, Texas (Tarrant County) entered into an
Interlocal Cooperative Purchasing Agreement on October 15, 1998 pursuant to Chapter 791 of
the Texas. Government Coe and Subchapter F, Chapter 271 of the Texas Local Government Code
which provides that when one of the Local Government Entities enters into a contract with a
vendor for goods and services, the other Local Government Entity is able to enter into a purchase
agreement with such vendor under the same terms and conditions offered to the original
contracting Local Government Entity so long as the vendor is agreeable;
WHEREAS, the Vendor originally responded to BID 2020-145 issued by Tarrant
County and agreed within that bid proposal to allow other Local Govermental Entities to enter
into purchase agreements with Vendor under the same terms and conditions as those contained in
the BID;
WHEREAS, Vendor was awarded the contract with Tarrant County ("Tarrant County
Contract") in the summer of 2020;
WHEREAS, per the authority mentioned above, City and Vendor entered into Fort
Worth City Secretary Contract ("CSC") No. 58371 (the "Agreement"), to provide City with
janitorial services which was executed on November 02, 2022; and

WHEREAS, the Agreement allowed for an annual amount of up to $200,000.00,
utilizing the pricing outlined in the Tarrant County Contract to be utilized through each term;
WHEREAS, prior to the end of the initial term, the parties recently agreed to continue
this Agreement for the final, one-year renewal term which corresponds with the term set forth in
the Tarrant County Contract, which expires on September 30, 2024.
WHEREAS, the parties have now agreed to increase the annual amount of the
Agreement by an additional $100,00.00 for a new annual amount up to $300,000.00 for
this final renewal term under the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, KNOWN ALL BY THESE PRESENT, City, and Vendor,
acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into this Amendment as
follows:
1.
City and Vendor agree to increase the amount under the Agreement by an additional One
Hundred Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($100,000.00) for a not to exceed amount of Three
Hundred Thousand Dollars and 0011.00 ($300,000.00) for this last Renewal Term only.
2.
All other provisions of the Contract which are not expressly amended herein shall remain
in full force and effect.
