AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AIRPORT GRANTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF
$100,000.00 OF WHICH $50,000.00 IS SUBJECT TO RECEIPT OF A ROUTINE
AIRPORT MAINTENANCE PROJECT GRANT FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION, AVIATION DIVISION, AND IN THE AMOUNT OF
$50,000.00 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE AND SMALL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
AT FORT WORTH MEACHAM INTERNATIONAL A11WORT; PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 in the
Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Airport Grants Fund in the amount of$100,000,00, of which $50,000.00 is subject to receipt of a Routine
Airport Maintenance Project Grant from the Texas Department of Transportation, Aviation Division and
$50,000.00 from available funds, for the purpose of providing routine maintenance and small capital
improvement projects at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or
void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way
impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining
provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3,
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 20411-09-2012 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in
direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions
of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repeated.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shalt take effect upon adoption.

Authorize Acceptance of a Routine Airport Maintenance Project Grant for Fort Worth Meacham
International Airport from the Texas Department of Transportation, Aviation Division, if Offered, in the
Amount Up to $50,000.00, Authorize Use of Revenue from Mineral Lease Revenue in the Amount Up to
$50,000.00 for the City's Grant Match and Adopt Appropriation Ordinances (COUNCIL DISTRICT 2)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Authorize the acceptance of a Routine Airport Maintenance Project Grant, if offered, for Fort Worth
Meacham International Airport from the Texas Department of Transportation, Aviation Division, in the
amount up to $50,000.00;
2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing the estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Airports Gas Lease Project Fund in the amount of$50,000.00;
3. Authorize the transfer in the amount of $50,000.00 from the Airports Gas Lease Project Fund to the
Airport Grants Fund for the City's match; and
4. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing the estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Airport Grants Fund in the amount of$100,000.00, contingent upon the receipt of the grant from the Texas
Department of Transportation, Aviation Division.
DISCUSSION:
Each year, the City of Fort Worth receives a grant offer from the Texas Department of Transportation
(TxDOT) to provide needed rout'ne maintenance items or to fund small capital improvement projects at
Fort Worth Meacham International Airport (Meacham Airport)with a total eligibility amount of
$50,000.00. The City's share of the grant match funds will be 50 percent of the eligible project costs or the
amount of$50,000.00, whichever is less.
The proposed projects at Meacham Airport will include, but will not be limited to, a full-depth pavement
improvement project, upgrade to airfield lighting system equipment, security cameras system with
peripheral equipment, perimeter fencing and airfield grading work.
Meacham Airport is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2.
FISCAL INFORMATION /CERTIFICATION:
The Financial Management Services Director certifies that upon approval of the above recommendations

budget, as appropriated, of the Airport Grants Fund,
