Home My WebLink AboutContract 55171-A2CSC No. 55171-A2 AMENDMENT No . 2 TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 55171 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Half Associates, Inc., (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 55171, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C 20-0983 on the 12th day of December, 2020 in the amount of $530,314.00; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by: Amendment No. 1 in the amount of $123,768.00 authorized on November 30, 2021 by M&C 21- 0921; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project: Northside IV 24-Inch Water Transmission Main; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1. Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer totals $42,003.00. 2. Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an amount of $696,085.00. 3. Amendment No. 2 includes the effort necessary to modify the original design of transfer valve vault. The modification will allow additional flow to be transferred between the pressure planes during peak demands. The transfer valve vault modification includes civil/mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering changes. To perform the EIC engineering, Halff once again utilized Gupta Associates, Inc. (GAI). GAI is a qualified business equity (MBE/WBE) firm. Additionally, this Amendment also includes budget for construction administration. The original contract only contained a limited scope and budget for construction administration. Halff has been asked to attend, etc. the monthly construction meetings. This additional budget would cover monthly meetings (through June 2024). The Level of Effort spreadsheet for Amendment 2 is attached for reference.
