Home My WebLink AboutContract 54137-A2AMENDMENT No.2 CSC No. 54137-A2 TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 54137 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Criado & Associates, Inc., (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 54137, (the CONTRACT) which was administratively authorized on the 17th day of March, 2022 in the amount of $374,484.00; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by Amendment No. 1 in the amount of $16,110.00 administratively authorized on August 3, 2023; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project: Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement Contract 103; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1. Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer totals $15,319.00 (Sewer). 2. Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an amount of $405,913.00. 3. Contract 103] [CPN: 02723] November 17, 2023 Ms. Dena Johnson Project Manager City of Fort Worth Water Department Fort Worth, Texas 76102 Re: Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement Contract 103, CPN 02723 — Amendment No. 2 Sanitary Sewer Realignment along E. 1st Street (L-2567) Dear Ms. Johnson: Criado & Associates, Inc. (CRIADO) is pleased to present this Amendment No.2 to the Engineering Services Contract referenced above. The scope of work is to perform Level A SUE at 2 locations on an existing 54 concrete box culvert and to collect depth of sewer services at two existing service locations. This work is needed to determine if the proposed relocation of the sanitary sewer to the south side of the existing 54" will impact relocation of sewer service from the customers on the north side of 1st Street. This amendment also includes two separate parts, as described below: SUE/ SURVEYING SERVICES CRIADO will perform Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) work (Level A) and the associated surveying services as required to collect horizontal and vertical elevations and other information needed in design and preparation of plans for the project. The SUE effort will require two Level A holes (estimated depth 8'-13'). Information gathered during the SUE/survey shall include topographic data, elevations of the top of the existing 54" storm sewer and the flowline elevations of the two existing services (using the service cleanouts) and any other features the Engineer deems relevant to the final plan sheets. The estimated effort required to complete the Design SUE/Survey is $6,339. ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR PRELIMINARY DESIGN (60-PERCENT) CRIADO will prepare Preliminary Design Drawings and Project Specifications & Estimates (PS&E) for the proposed lateral improvements of this amendment. Plan and profile geometry will be coordinated with the proposed and existing sanitary sewer laterals using a 1" = 20' horizontal and 1" = 4' vertical scale. The estimated effort required to complete the Preliminary Design is $6,270. This fee also includes project management time. ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR FINAL DESIGN (90/100-PERCENT) CRIADO will prepare Draft Final Plans for a 90-percent construction plan review meeting with the CITY, followed by the submission of the Construction Documents (100-percent) to the CITY per the approved Project Schedule. CRIADO will also provide a final design estimate of probable construction cost with both the 90-percent and 100-percent design packages using ONLY standard CITY bid items.
