Upgrades to PS PCM No. 006 ___ .... _______________ ------ The Owner proposes to make the following additions, modifications or deletions to the work described in the Coatract Documents. Authorizatioa to proceed with these changes must be approved by Field Order or Change Order ia accordance with the Contract Documents. A contract modification is necessary to incorporate the following items to the Reclaimed Water Pump Station: 1. Provide additional sidewalk access from the surge tank to the MCC building. This will improve access for the operators between equipment. 2. Provide flanges and a spool piece for the inline magnetic flow meter to enhance maintenance and allow for placement of a spool piece. This will allow the pump station to remain in the service when the meter is removed for maintenance .. 3. Provide pressure indicators and test tree at one PIT and three PSHs. This will provide operators a visual indication of the pressure reading., to help verify proper operation of the instrumentation .. 4. Clean and coat interior of the existing pump can that was reused as the stilling well. When the pump was removed, a large amount of scaling was observed in the can that was being reused for the stilling well To prevent sloughing of the scale into the reclaimed water, cleaning of the stilling pipe is needed. 5. Provide l" SS adapter plate for sluice to address conflict with corbel. The plate is needed to allow offsetting of the gate over the existing wall opening. 6. Provide approximately 36 ft2 of additional grating over the valve gallery and relocate hand rail.; The additional grating will improve operator accessibility to the chlorine booster building from the pump station area. 7. Remove and replace approximately 200 LF of deteriorated calking in the joints of the existing Final Effluent Pump Station structure. The existing calking has deteriorated and will over time affect the integrity of the existing structures. 8. Provide SS sling.,, SS eye bolts and necessary appurtenances to provide a means to safely lift the 96" sluice gates using a lift truck if the gate operators fail during high flow conditions. Since these sling., were not available previously, one gate was damaged during a recent emergency. This modification is needed to prevent damaging of the gates during future emergencies. The Contractor shall provide a letter from the sluice gate manufacturer approving the sling and mounts. 9. Provide additional PLC programming and modifications to aJlow for 1) operator log-ins, 2) pressure controls for the chlorine booster, and 3) monitoring power consumption using the existing PQMih. The following is the required configuration for monitoring the power consumption: a. The goal of this item is to enable the plant's DCS to monitor the Reclaimed Water Pump Station energy usage. There are a total of two existing Multilin PQMII at the Reclaimed Water Pmnp Station. b. The Reclaimed Water Pump Station energy usage monitor shall include the following: There art two existing PQMlls and asaociated CTs and PT's. A MultiNet is installed at tbe Reclaimed Water Pump Station switchboard (SWBDI). For the remainder of the documc:nt the followina abbreviations will be used: • RCPS _pQM _ A -Reclaimed Water Pump Station SWBD I PQMII A • RCPS_PQM_B -Reclaimed Water Pump Station SWBDI PQMII B Provide the following cable run and equipment: • Run a CAT.6 Ethernet cable between the PLC cabinet and SWBDI and connect the Multilin MultiNet serial-to-Ethernet converter. Use the existing 2" spare conduit between the two that was installed under the Reclaimed Pump Station Project. • Utilize two existing TSP spare analog cables between the PLC-REP and RTU 27 (Old Chem Bldg) Minimum equipment configuration steps are listed below: • Program I.P. address into the MultiNet, obtain LP. addresses assignment from the CITY per plant SCADA system I.P. standard • Program MODBUS serial addresses to the PQMils • Program the AB SLC Prosoft MODBUS TCPnP module to poll the PQM energy usage register every five seconds. Energy registers information are listed at the end of this document In the AB SLC convert the energy usage register raw value to an engineering unit in floating point or real number format and display the three energy usage values RCPS_PQM_A_KW, andRCPS_PQM_B _KW at the PLC-REP's OlT. Totaliz.e the energy usage in a similar fashion as the discharge flow reading detail of the energy usage totaliz.ation is listed at the end of this document. The engineering scale for the energy usage shall be adjustable by operators via the OIT and initially set at 0-1200 KW for the reclaim pump station. Sum RCPS_PQM_A_KW and RCPS_PQM_B_KW to RCPS _ PQM _TOTAL and transmit the energy usage value via a spare 4-20 ma analog output channel.
