Former Riverside Wastewater Treatment Plant Digester Project
The following portions of the project have resulted in additional time to date for the specified project:
Digester #8 -Sludge Disposal at CSC Landfill
4/5/12 -Republic Services approved waste characterization profile for Digester #8 sludge.
4/10/12 -AUi delivered one truckload of Digester #8 sludge to CSC Landfill. Landfill indicated too much
free-liquid in truck. Hauling was halted .
5/29/12 -Republic Services onsite to perform paint filter test. Samples passed test.
6/4/12 -AUi resumed hauling of Digester #8 sludge to CSC Landfill. Landfill restricted AUi to two
truckloads per day.
6/5/12 -CSC Landfill called meeting to discuss moisture content of Digester #8 sludge arriving at landfill.
AUi halted hauling of Digester #8 sludge . Even though sludge passed the paint filter test, the landfill
could not accept it due to its consistency, which prevented them from being able to cover it with heavy
equipment.
6/21/12 -AUi resumed hauling of Digester #8 sludge to CSC Landfill and continued hauling through
7 /19/12. Sawdust and cement slag was used to further solidify the materials .
Total additional time to date= 55 days during first halt+ 16 days during second halt= 71 days
Digester #7 -Dewatering and Treatment of Liquids
4/25/12 to 4/30/12 -Pumped, treated, and discharged 41,160 gallons (2 treated tanks) from Control
Room between Digesters #8 and #9.
4/30/12 -5/30/12 -Pumped, treated, and discharged 409,576 gallons (20 treated tanks) from Control
Room between Digesters #6 and #7 and the Pump House.
Note: Current contract includes 2,800,000 gallons (approximately 140 treated tanks of liquids). The
process requires on average 5 days to process each tank (treat, fill , sample, analysis, and discharge).
Total additional time to date for treatment of liquids from other structures= 29 days

Dear Mr. Talley:
Enclosed please find a copy of Change Order No. 3 for work to be performed by AUi Contractors, Inc . on the
above referenced project.
This change order does not change the overall contract value of$5,254,571.50. The purpose of this change
order is to extend the contract time for the project by 125 calendar days due to additional liquid treatment
and solid sludge processing time.
