HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 16312-03-2005Ordinance No. ~~ ~~ - ~ `~ ~ ~~ AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECI~IPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN AN AMOUNT UP TO $6,250 AS DONATIONS ARE RECEIVED FROM THE WAL-MART FOUNDATION AND SAM'S CLUB FOUNDATION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING EQUIPMENT ANDIOR FURNISHINGS FOR FORT WORTH FIRE STATIONS 7, 19, 23 AND 30, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE BATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1, That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2004-2005 in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special Trust Fund in an amount up to $6,250 as donations are received from the Wa!-Mart Foundation and Sam`s Club Foundation, for fihe purpose of funding equipment andlor furnishings for Fart Worth Fire Stations 7, 19, 23, and 30. SECTION 2. That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, apinlan ar judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. St=CTION 3. That this ordinance shall lac cumulative of Ordinance No. 95061 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption. Accept monetary donations in the amount of $4,000 from the Wal-Mart Foundation; 2. Accept a monetary donation in the amount of $2,250 from the Sam's Club Foundation; and 3. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special Trust Fund by $6,250 from available funds. ©iSCUSSION: As part of various grants, the Waf-Mart i=nundation and Sam's Club Foundation have donated a total of $6,250 to Fort Worth Fire Stations Number 7, 19, 23 and 30. The #unds will be utilized to purchase equipment and/nr furnishings for the fire stations. Fort Worth Fire Department Stations Number 7, 19, 23 and 30 are located in COUNCIL DISTRICTS 4, 2, 7, 3, respectively.
