The above referenced Contract with the City of Fort Worth expires on April 2, 2024.
Pursuant to the Contract, contract renewals are at the sole option of the City. This letter is to inform
you that the City is exercising its right to renew the Contract for an additional one (1) year period,
which will begin immediately after the Expiration Date. All other terms and conditions of the
Contract remain unchanged. Please return this signed acknowledgement letter, along with your
quote for charges for the new renewal term, and current insurance certificate, to the address
set forth below, acknowledging receipt of the Contract Renewal Notice.

Subject: Scope of Work Proposal
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TX
Thank you for the opportunity to work to present MEI Scope of Work statement and fee proposal.
I- SCOPE OF WORK
COMPREHENSIVE TOWER STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS:
A. Perform a Structural Analysis of subject tower in conformance with the ANSI/TIA 222--H Standard
Requirements for the proposed appurtenances loading.
The following is considered to be supplied to MEI:
Tower Location & Structural data (configuration & member sizes)
Foundation data (geometric size & geotechnical information)
Current & Reserve appurtenances data (antennas model, quantity, elevation &
corresponding mounts & lines)
Proposed change condition data (proposed appurtenances)
Recent photos showing tower & appurtenances from 2 directions.
B. Prepare an Engineering Report which including analysis Results and general Recommendations, and which
will be sealed by a Texas Professional Engineer. MEI will furnish an electronic copy of the report.
TOWER MODIFICATION DESIGN:
A. Design Structural Modifications and perform additional analyses as required to optimize the proposed
modifications required to be in conformance with the ANSI/TIA 222-H Standard Requirements for the proposed
appurtenances loading, as applicable. A prior MEI structural analysis is a pre-requisite for this scope.
The following is considered to be supplied to MEI:
Tower Location & Structural data (configuration & member sizes)
Foundation data (geometric size & geotechnical information)
Site/Compound Plan
Current & Reserve appurtenances data (antennas model, quantity, elevation &
corresponding mounts & lines)
Proposed change condition data (proposed appurtenances)
Recent photos showing tower & appurtenances from 2 directions
B. Prepare modification working drawings with relevant installation instructions and fabrication details and
Technical Specification Notes. These drawings will be sealed by a Texas Professional Engineer. MEI will Furnish
electronic copy of the sealed drawings.
BID REVIEW TECHNICAL SUPPORT:
A. Perform a Structural Review of vendor submitted technical engineering documents of subject tower for
conformance with the ANSI/TIA 222-H Standard Requirements and Procurement Specifications for the
specified appurtenances loading. Provide technical support in the bids review as per client request .
B. Prepare a Letter of Findings and Recommendations, sealed by a Texas Professional Engineer. MEI will furnish
an electronic copy of the letter.

TOWER FIELD MAPPING:
A. Perform a Tower Structural Mapping to gather above ground information to be used in the Structural Analysis
of subject tower. Data collected shall include tower dimensions and configuration, member sizes, bolt
quantities & sizes, guy wire assembly & anchors layout if applicable, dimensions of above ground portions of
foundations and inventory of existing antennas, mounts, transmission lines or other equipment installed on
tower, and general visual observed condition of tower and foundation. Ultra-sonic measurement equipment
will be available to be used for measuring pipe wall thickness where applicable. The following is considered
to be supplied to MEI:
Tower Location & GPS Coordinate & FCC ASR number
Access contact information &/or Gate Combo number.
B. Prepare a report of field obtained notes and data. When mapping is performed in conjunction with structural
analysis, an elevation drawing that includes the mapping findings will be included as part of the Structural
Analysis Report.
TOWER MAINTENANCE INSPECTION:
A. Perform a tower field inspection in conformance with the ANSI/TIA-222-H Standard Section 14.0 and Annex J
Section J.1 to determine the overall condition of the existing tower.
The following is considered to be supplied to MEI:
Tower Location & GPS Coordinate & FCC ASR number
Access contact information &/or Gate Combo number
Tower Structural data (configuration & member sizes)
B. Prepare a summary report and provide repair and maintenance recommendations for the subject site(s). MEI
will furnish an electronic pdf copy of the report.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
MALOUF ENGINEERING INTERNATIONAL, INC. agrees to furnish the previously outlined Scope of Services, with payment due
NET30 days from invoice date, for the fixed sums as follows:
TOWER STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS:
Structural Analysis : $ 2,200.00 / tower
Re-Analysis w/in 9 months : $ 1,700.00 / tower
TOWER MODIFICATION DESIGN:
Estimated fee of $ 3,000.00 to $ 6,500.00 - Varies based on modification extent and type of tower.
TOWER FIELD MAPPING & MAINTENANCE INSPECTION
Estimated fee of $ 3,500.00 to $ 4,500.00 - Varies based on type of tower and time required.
Please note that the above quoted fees are valid for a period of 1-year Effective April 01, 2024.
Special Condition Notes
No Structural Modification Design and Drawings to the towers is included in the Analysis scope of Work. Only
general recommendations regarding modifications are supplied.
Modification design and drawings will be qualified as to severity after completion of analysis.
No design of the transmission lines and mount support is included in the above scope UNO.
All installation induced loads, procedures and methods to be the responsibility of others.
Structure has a safe climbing system as per OSHA requirements & is accessible by competent climber.
For towers on rooftop sites, the scope of work includes evaluation of the tower structure only and does not
include the supporting frame and roof structure unless noted otherwise by the specific scope of work.
In addition to the listed scope of work items, MEI can provide all scope items associated with telecommunication
structures. Fees are based on standard schedule of fees with hourly rate of:
$ 120/hr. for a Senior CAD Designer,
$ 225/hr. for a Senior Project Engineer and
$ 300/hr. for Principal Engineer.
