SUBJECT: EXTENTION OF A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
, ,s BETWEEN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH AND CHESAPEAKE OPERATING,
INC. TO CONTINUE THE OPERATION OF A SALTWATER PIPING AND
RECYCLING PILOT
On October 28, 2008, in accordance with City Secretary Contract 37893, the City of Fort Worth signed a
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)with Chesapeake Operating, Inc. (Chesapeake)to install, manage,
and operate a saltwater piping and recycling pilot. Over the past year, Chesapeake has been diligent in its
assemblage of fee simple right-of-way, however, a completed line between the pad production sites and
the Brentwood disposal well has yet to be assembled. While the recycling component of the agreement is
fully installed it is not yet operational. Chesapeake continues to work with the recycling vendor to finalize
the operation of the units. As such, it is necessary to extend this MOU so that the installation of the
infrastructure may be completed and the necessary data collected.
No M&C is required to extend this Memorandum of Understanding for the period of one year to October
28, 2010.
If you have any questions regarding the Brentwood Saltwater Pilot, please contact Brian K. Boemer, CPM,
CHMM, Environmental Management Director at 817-392-8085.
