Mayor ProTem Danny Scarth introduced a briefing regarding proposed amendments to the Fort Worth Tax Increment Financing Zone #9 — Trinity River Vision TIF. Mark Rauscher, Program Manager in the City's Transportation and Public Works Department, then presented the details of j the proposed amendments dealing with the project and financing plans and expansion of the TIF zone boundaries. Tarrant County and City of Fort Worth staffs are currently negotiating the details of the amendments with final approval by the County and the City pending such negotiations. Additionally, regarding the H1 N1 issue, a briefing was provided to the Commissioners Court by Lou Brewer, Director of the Tarrant County Public Health Department provided the following report: • To date, Tarrant County has received slightly more than 4,000 doses of H1 N1 vaccine while private providers have received over 110,000 doses. Ms. Brewer urged citizens to seek the vaccine through their private providers. • Over the course of the past week, 1,212 doses of the nasal version of the H1 N1 vaccine were administered to first responders. • Currently, Tarrant County is experiencing a downward trend in the number of confirmed H1 N1 cases. However; Ms. Brewer expressed concern about citizens travelling during the holiday period and returning to Tarrant County having contracted H1 N1 elsewhere. She also emphasized that the current downward trend is probably only a temporary lull in the situation. • In response to Ms. Brewer's report, the Court expressed great concern regarding the disparity of the number of doses received by Tarrant County (4,000) as opposed to the number of doses received by private providers (110,000). Ms. Brewer responded stating l that the Texas Association of Local Health Officials `A HO l s wr n g t affect a more j, e u tab e distribution such that local alt departments will era c i 20% of ll vaccine s l' p ,d.
