Call to Order After proper notice given pursuant to the Texas Open Meetings Act, with a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Parker called the Closed Executive Session Meeting to order at 12:11 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, in the City Council Conference Room 2020 of the Fort Worth City Hall to discuss matters pertaining to the following: B. The City Council will conduct a closed meeting in order to discuss matters permitted by the following sections of Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code: CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION APRIL 16, 2024 PAGE 2 of 2 CITY ATTORNEY 1. Section 551.071, CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY To seek the advice of its attorney about pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers, or any matter in which the duty of the attorney to the City Council under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the Texas Open Meetings Act. [Tex. Govt Code §551.071]: a. Legal issues involving the sanitary sewer interceptor improvements M-326 and M-295 project; Discussion occurred. b. Legal issues regarding potential charter election; and Discussion did not occur. c. Legal Issues concerning any item listed on today's posted Council agenda. Discussion did not occur. CITY MANAGER 1. Section 551.072, DELIBERATIONS REGARDING REAL PROPERTY Deliberate the purchase, sale, lease or value of real property where deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the City in negotiations with a third party. Discussion did not occur. 2. Section 551.087, DELIBERATIONS REGARDING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT NEGOTIATIONS Deliberate the commercial or financial information or the offer of a financial or other incentive to a business prospect. Discussion occurred. 3. Section 551.076 and Section 551.089, DELIBERATIONS REGARDING SECURITY Deliberate certain security matters in accordance with Section 551.076 and 551.089 of the Texas Government Code. Section 551.074, PERSONNEL MATTERS Deliberate the employment, evaluation, and duties of the Neighborhood Services Director as authorized by Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code Discussion occurred. C. The City Council may reconvene in open session in the City Council Conference Room and act on any item listed on the Executive Session Agenda in accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
