With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Parker called the City
Council Work Session of the Fort Worth City Council to order 1:07 p.m. on Tuesday,
April 16, 2024, in the City Council Conference Room 2020 of the Fort Worth City Hall,
200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas.

David Cooke called on Jesica McEachern, Assistant City Manager to recognize
the following Human Resources employees for their contribution in hosting and
coordinating the 3rd Annual Citywide Job Fair held on April 6th:

24-1835 Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program Overview - Chelsea St. Louis,
Transportation and Public Works Senior Capital Projects Officer
Council Member Flores requested a summary of how residents can make requests for traffic
calming measures.
Council Member Crain recommended letting Council Members know in advance of installation
of traffic calming devices to help inform residents.
24-1836 Registration for Community Organizations 2018 - 2024 - Michelle Gutt,
Communications and Public Engagement Community Services Manager
Mayor Pro Tem. Bivens requested an overview of the Informal Report.
Mayor Pro Tern Bivens recommended a definition of the relationship between
the City and Neighborhood Alliances.

Council Member Beck recommended providing training for area businesses.
Council Member Flores stated that Council could be of assistance with outreach and
communication to area businesses.
Mayor Parker requested information on the installation of the parking bollards and
incentives to encourage businesses to adopt a voluntary wanding program.
5. Park and Recreation Department's Capital Update — Richard Zavala, Park
and Recreation Director
Presentation was given by Richard Zavala, Park and Recreation Director.
6. Transportation and Public Works Capital Projects Update — Lauren Prieur,
Transportation and Public Works Director
Presentation was given by Lauren Prieur, Transportation and Public Works Director.
Council Member Flores requested additional information on the low altitude weather
sensors.
7. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports
Council Member Flores requested a report on the process for recycling or donating
materials being discarded from the Old City Hall.
Council Member Lauersdorf requested a report on recommendations to address
complaints involving the service provided by Knight Waste Services.
Mayor Pro Tern Bivens requested a report on the new Housing and Urban
Development (HUD), Section 3 requirements and how the City is complying with them
on Fort Worth Housing Solutions Projects in Stop Six.
Mayor Pro Tern Bivens requested a calendar of future warrant forgiveness dates for
2024.

Council Member Beck requested a report on the City's plan for applying for the
FEMA Grant Opportunities for Fire Prevention.
