Home My WebLink AboutContract 52494 (2)CSC No. 52494-A2 AMENDMENT No.2 TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 52494 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and James DeOtte Engineering, Inc., (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 52494, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C C-29140 on the 4 th day of June, 2019 in the amount of$ 728,560.00; and WHEREAS , the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by: Amendment Number 1 in the amount of $167,239.00 which was authorized by M&C #22-0274 on April 12, 2022,; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project: Greenfield Acres Storm Drain Improvements, CPN 102975; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1. Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer totals $20,822.00. (See Attached Funding Breakdown Sheet) 2. Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an amount of $916,621.00. (JDEI) will perform the work outlined in the following: Additional services shall include: 1. Survey and Design of approximately 600 LF of storm drain improvements along North Hill Lane. Multiple properties on North Hill Lane west of Lea Crest Lane reported flooding issues. To alleviate this flooding problem, the city has requested the design of approximately 600 LF of storm drain with multiple area inlets and necessary borrow ditches along North Hill Lane that will tie into the existing storm drain system on Lea Crest Lane. 2. Per City's request, provide a Geotechnical recommendation addendum report on the applicability of cement in the pulverized mix and the rate at which it should be applied which was not part of the original project scope. The specific tasks to be accomplished with this Amendment are outlined within the attached Level of Effort spreadsheet. JDEI anticipates the fees listed above for the various elements of the project to be a not to exceed amount of $20,822.00.
