;rExay' Subject: Temporary Reciprocal Aid Agreement with Haltom City
/071
The cities of Fort Worth and Haltom City are currently engaged in
a joint project for bridge construction and street reconstruction
of North Beach Street , from Fossil Creek Boulevard to Western City
Boulevard. The closing of this section of North Beach has made
it difficult for the Fort Worth and Haltom City Fire Departments
to respond to certain areas of the respective cities .
As a result, the attached letter of agreement governing temporary
reciprocal aid will be added to the current mutual aid agreement
for fire service between Fort Worth and Haltom City ( Fort Worth
City Secretary Contract 13929 ) . This agreement provides for the
Fort Worth Fire Department to respond, upon request by Haltom City,
one fire pump (engine ) company to the area bounded by Beach Street,
Western Center Boulevard, Highway 377 , and Fossil Creek.
Haltom City agrees to dispatch, upon request by the Fort Worth Fire
Department , one fire company to the area bounded by the westbound
frontage road of Northeast Loop 820, Fossil Creek Boulevard, and
opl' North Beach Street .
This agreement will be in effect until the opening of the affected
section of North Beach Street , which is anticipated to be December
1988.

intent of the parties that these two agreements shall be construed
in harmony insofar as possible. In the event of conflict, the terms

Due to North Beach Street being rendered impassable between
Fossil Creek Boulevard and Western Center Boulevard by road con-
struction and Haltom City Fire Station 3, located at Haltom Road and
Loop 820 being denied access to certain areas of Haltom City, caused
by the aforementioned street closing, Fort Worth agrees to dispatch
the nearest fire pump (engine) company (normally FWFD Station 31 ) to
the Haltom City area defined by the following boundaries:

and proceeding east on Western Center Boulevard to Denton
Highway (Highway 377) to Fossil Creek, west along the
south bank of Fossil Creek to Beach Street, thence north
on Beach Street to the point of origin. (Mapsco coordi-
nates 36 W, X, Y, Z, 50 A, B, C, D, G, H) .
The Fort Worth Fire Department Alarm Room will dispatch one fire
pump (engine) company to that area when requested to do so by the
Haltom City Dispatchers. Upon arrival, that company may request
additional assistance as if they were within the corporate limits of
the City.

by the Fort Worth Fire Department, to the area of Fort Worth as
defined below:

age road of Northeast Loop 820 and following said frontage
road west and north to Fossil Creek Boulevard, thence east

in effect for a period of one year from date of execution unless
terminated earlier by mutual consent of the parties in writing, or

ever event takes place first. This agreement may be renewed by
mutual consent of the parties.
