HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 16494-06-2005Ordinance No. % ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~~ "- ~~f'~-~ AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE WATER CAPITAL PROJECT FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $74,872 AND THE SEWER CAPITAL PROJECT FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $37,930 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING AN ENGINEERING AGREEMENT WITH GSWW, INC. FOR WATER AND SEWER REPLACEMENT CONTRACT 200A, STM-H; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMUi..ATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE BATE. SE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TI=XAS: SECTION 1. That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various Gity departments for Fiscal Year 200-2005 in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Project Fund in the amount ofi $74,872 and the Sewer Capital Project Fund in the amount of $37,93Q from available funds far the purpose of #unding an Engineering Agreement with GSWW, Inc. for Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement Contract 2004, STM-H. SECTION 2. That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance Na. 16081 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the previsions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ardirtances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption. Authorize the transfer of $112,602.00 from the Water and Sewer Operafing Fund to the Wafer Capital Project Fund in the amount of $74,672.00 and Sewer Capital Project Fund in the amount of $37,930.OD; 2. Adopt the appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Projecf Fund in the amount of $74,672.00 and the Sewer Capital Project f=und in the amount of $37,930.00, frorr~ available funds; and 3. Authorize the City Manager to execute an engineering agreement with GSWW, Inc., in the amount of $102,340,00 for Water and Sewer Replacement Contract 24t?4, STM-H. DISCUSSION. City staff considers this fee fa be fair and reasonable for the scope of services proposed. in addition to the contracf amount, $14,262.00 (water: $6,852.44; and sewer: $3,410.40} is required far project management by the Engineering Department.
