SUBJECT: PROPERTY MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR RECRUITMENT PROCESS
The purpose of this report is to provide an update on the City's hiring process to recruit for the vacant
Property Management Director position. Human Resources (HR) is committed to hiring talented and diverse
individuals and desires a workforce that reflects the community we serve.
The City partnered with Strategic Government Resources (SGR) to conduct an extensive and nationwide
search for the Property Management Department. The SGR screening process includes a thorough review
of the candidate's demonstrated work experience, including questionnaires, social media review, and a
background check for the top candidate(s).
The initial recruitment launched in August 2023 the process yielded eighteen (18) candidates for
consideration in which four (4) finalist interviews took place December 2023; a finalist to fill the position was
not identified. SGR relaunched the search in July 2024. The current recruitment has yielded forty-eight (48)
candidates.
An updated tentative timeline is listed below:
• July 5 Job posting opened
• August 9 Job posting closed
• August 22 SGR and FW Team meet to review/select applicants and SGR screens semifinalists
• August/September SGR and FW Team meet to select finalists
• September FW Team interviews finalists and hosts meet and greet
