Cost benefit analyses and reference checks were completed on the new computerized Affirmative Action planning system which will be put out to bid shortly. II Promotions/Reclassifications There were 196 promotions and reclassifications in the third quarter, 87 (44%) went to minorities and women. This involved 28 women, 48 Blacks and 24 Hispanics. Notable actions. included the promotions of: Karen Fuller (BF) and Michael Carroll (BM) to Police Corporal/Detective; Gail Baxter (CF) and Juan Mejia (HM) to Code Enforcement Supervisors in City Services. Stanley Scott (BM) was promoted to Superintendent of Light and Signal Division, Transportation and Public Works. Ann Diveley transferred from an Assistant to the City Manager position to Economic Development Specialist. III EEO/AA Training Preparations Work continues on this project with implementation slated for next quarter. 00' IV City Work Force Composition The City of Fort Worth showed solid gains in its overall workforce representation of women and minorities during the third quarter. July 1985: Black 22.0% Hispanic 09.1% Women 23.4% July 1988: Black 23.3% Hispanic 10.5% Women 26.0% Net Change: Black +1.3% Hispanic +1.4% Women +2.6% V Statistical Profile of the City's Work Force The following attachments have been prepared and are updated quarterly. Attachment No. 1 - Work Force Racial, Ethnic, and Gender Representation. The figures in this attachment include General Fund, Grant Funded, and JTPA funded positions. Due to the especially large proportion of Civil Service Personnel in the City's work force (approximately 30%) and the uniquely restrictive employment criteria that these positions are under, this attachment is provided to present a more accurate picture of the City's work force composition. Attachment No. 3 - Work Force Incumbency v. Availability. Percentages by EEO Category. This table provides a quick overview of the City's entire work force and identifies areas in the work force where concerted affirmative action efforts need to be made. Attachment No. 4 - Departmental Racial Ethnic, and Gender Composition by EEO Category. Actual incumbency for each department by EEO category is provided in this attachment.
