HomeMy WebLinkAboutIR 7306 INFORMAL REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS No. 7306 To the Mayor and Members of the City Council July 18, 1988 Subject: Documents and Information Concerning JUL Proposed Fort Worth Improvement District No. 2 On July 12, 1988, the City Council adopted M&C G-7639 regarding the proposed Fort Worth Improvement District No. 2. Paragraph 3 of the M&C directed the City Manager to file certain documents and information with the City Secretary as provided in the Public Improvement District Assessment Act (V.T.C.A. , Local Government Code Section 372.001 et seq.) . On July 12, 1988, a "Petition Requesting Establishment of Public Improvement District To Be Known as Fort Worth Public Improvement District No. 2" was filed with the City Secretary. The following information required to be filed pursuant to M&C G-7639 is contained in the petition: a) statement of general nature of proposed improvements and/or services-- paragraph 3 of petition (pages 1, 2); b) preliminary estimate of costs of improvements and services--paragraph 4 of petition (page 2); c) map showing boundaries of proposed district and property to be assessed--paragraph 5 and Exhibits B-1 and B-2 of petition (page 2) ; d) proposed method of assessment--paragraph 6 of petition (pages 2, 3); and e) proposed apportionment of costs between the improvement district and city as a whole--paragraphs 3 and 12 of petition (pages 2, 6 ) . The boundaries and ownership of property to be assessed are shown in a report from Hughes and Luce, dated July 8, 1988, which is also' on, file with the City Secretary. The probable maximum benefit to be conferred on each tract of property in the dis- trict because of the improvements and/or services will be greater than the amount of the assessment against such tract and the owners thereof. The original of this informal report was filed with the City Secretary of the City on July 18, 1988. Please contact me if further information is desired .
