X Subject: Petition for Establishment of Fort Worth Improvement
'411
District No. 2
On July 12, 1988, the City Council will receive a petition requesting
establishment of the Fort Worth Improvement District No. 2 and will consider
the adoption of M&C G-7639. The City Manager and City Attorney have
reviewed the petition in advance to determine whether it includes the
necessary signatures and meets the other requirements of the Public Improve-
ment District Assessment Act, V.T.C.A. , Local Government Code, Section
372.001 et. seq.
The City Manager and City Attorney find that the petition includes the
signatures of the owners of 77.4 percent of the taxable land area in the
proposed district, and the signatures of record owners representing 78.4
percent of the appraised value of taxable real property that is liable
for assessment in the proposed district, as determined by the current
roll of the Tarrant Appraisal District.
The petition contains sufficient signatures and meets other applicable
requirements of the Public Improvement District Assessment Act. If the
City Council desires to institute proceedings to establish the proposed
district, the petition is legally sufficient for this purpose. Procedur-
ally, the Council would institute such proceedings by approving M&C G-7639.
