We propose to perform this work for an additional amount of $31,500. [Note: This would result in an 11" thick (7/2/2) wall panel profile. This would require a 13" deep 'brick shelf' in the foundations]. If this is acceptable, please issue a change order in this amount. If you have any questions, please let me know. The Water Department agrees with your recommendation that the contractor's proposed cost of $39,117.245 should be accepted for this work, as the cost is fair and reasonable. This office will recommend to the City Council (and/or the City Manager's Office), the approval and acceptance of this additional cost in the form of a change order to be prepared and submitted by you to this office.
