Re: Fort Worth/Power Upgrades
Date:1/18/2024
Per your request, we have prepared a change order proposal to add two inches of
encapsulated insulation in the precast walls for the two buildings on this project. We
propose to perform this work for an additional amount of $31,500. [Note: This would
result in an 11" thick (7/2/2) wall panel profile. This would require a 13" deep 'brick
shelf' in the foundations]. If this is acceptable, please issue a change order in this
amount.
If you have any questions, please let me know.

CP-01: Insulation in Precast Walls at Alta Mesa and Edwards Ranch Pump Station
Back-up Power and Electrical Improvements at Four Pump Stations
Project No. 103410-2
This office has reviewed your correspondence dated March 8, 2024, regarding the change proposal (CP-01) for
the installation of 2 inches of encapsulated insulation in the pre -cast walls for the new building Alta Mesa and
Edwards Ranch Pump Stations, requested as part of the review comments for SD-057 (Precast Walls). The Water
Department agrees with your recommendation that the contractor's proposed cost of $39,117.245 should be
accepted for this work, as the cost is fair and reasonable.
This office will recommend to the City Council (and/or the City Manager's Office), the approval and acceptance of
this additional cost in the form of a change order to be prepared and submitted by you to this office.
