The existing fence is in poor condition and only a small portion of existing fence would be replaced as part of the original contract. The Engineer and Production Staff request the fence be replaced as the location is in residential area next to a park. The concrete mow is added to ease of mowing next to the fence on either side .. The installation of the generator, as shown on the plans, is very tight and may require the removal of trees in Overton Park. The plant staff request that the generator be moved from east fence line to the north fence line as this would minimize maintenance and generator fueling issues. The proposed north side would not require any park tree removal. T The Water Department agrees with your recommendation that the contractor's proposed cost of $72,294.81 for this work should be accepted as the cost is fair and reasonable. No additional time has been requested.
