Caroline James appeared before Council relative to dyslexia and the literacy crisis in Fort Worth Public Schools. Pete Geren appeared before Council relative to the literacy crisis in Fort Worth. Lety Gomez, representing Fort Worth Families Forward, appeared before Council relative to education. Gerald Banks Sr., representing Equal Justice Now, appeared before Council relative to profiling, police brutality, wrongful arrest/killings, wrongful prosecution, ending qualified immunity, etc. Naomi Dillard, representing Carter Riverside Neighborhood Association, appeared before Council relative to Riverside Recreation Center at Sylvania Park. Bill Burgan completed a speaker card relative to the library, parks, and Vets day and was recognized by Mayor Parker but was could not be reached.
