1. Call to Order — Mattie Parker — Mayor
With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Parker called the
Special Called Work Session to order at 12:08 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024,
in the City Council Conference Room 2020, 2nd Floor of the Fort Worth City Hall,
200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas.

4. Discussion on Tax Rate — Christianne Simmons, Chief Transformation

5. Discussion on Compensation Strategies — Dianna Giordano, Human
Resources Director

6. Summary: Budget Follow Ups/Next Steps — Christianne Simmons, Chief
Transformation Officer
Presentations were provided by David Cooke, City Manager and Christianne
Simmons, Chief Transformation Officer.
Council requested the following additional information:
— Council Member Flores requested information on the impact of the supply
chain availability continues to have on the budget and backlog of fleet
replacement program.
— Council Member Crain requested information on available funds in the Lost
Vegas Trails Neighborhood Improvement Program fund.
— Council Member Williams requested a Neighborhood Conservation Program
update be placed on a future Council Work Session.
— Council Member Lauersdorf recommended dedicating any unrealized
revenues at the end of the fiscal year to the Neighborhood Conservation
Program.
— Council Member Nettles requested a projection on the impact of not raising
the tax rate this year on future years and impact of decisions made by the
Tarrant County Appraisal District on future fiscal years.
— Council Member Williams requested staff change the format of the budget
response for compression within the Police Department to match the format
of the budget response (25-005) for compression within non -Police
Departments.

There being no further business, Mayor Parker adjourned the meeting at 1:22 p.m.
