HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 27246-10-2024Ordinance No. 27246-10-2024 AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECEIPTS ` AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE GRANTS OPERATING OTHER FUND, IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,218.33, BASED ON ACTUAL RECEIPTS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE CITY OF FORT WORTH'S ANIMAL WELFARE PROGRAMS; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grants Operating Other Fund in the amount of $7,218.33, based on actual receipts, for the purpose of funding the City of Fort Worth's Animal Welfare Programs. SECTION 2. That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. Caxiifv 0]►W That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance 27107-09-2024 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. Authorize acceptance of all accrued interest from contractual award funds in the amount of $7,218.33, based on actual receipts; and 2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grants Operating Other Fund for all accrued interest in the amount of $7,218,33, based on actual receipts, for the purpose of funding the City of Fort Worth's Animal Welfare Programs. DISCUSSION: Two animal welfare projects: 102605 (PetSmart Animal Charities 2020) and 103186 (Animal Welfare -Other Various) have expired and are ready to be closed out in the City's internal financial system. The following approved Mayor & Council Communication's (M&C) did not include or appropriate accrued interest earned by the projects: • M&C 19-0399, project 102605 • M&C 20-0504, project 103186 The Code Compliance Department requests the accrued interest be accepted and appropriated under both projects so remaining expenses can be applied accordingly and both projects can be closed out. A Form 1295 is not required because: This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity. FISCAL INFORMATION 1 CERTIFICATION: The Director of Finance certifies that funds are currently available in the PetSmart Animal Charities 2020 and Animal Welfare - Other Various projects within the Grants Operating Other Fund to support the approval of the recommendations. Prior to an expenditure being incurred, the Code Compliance Department has the responsibility of verifying the availability of funds.
