AMENDMENT No.2
TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 58189
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Baird Hampton & Brown,
Inc., (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 58189,
(the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C 22-0656 on the 23 day of August,
2022, in the amount of$ 152,819.00; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by: Amendment No. 1 in
the amount of $4,950.00 which was administratively authorized on May 31,
2023; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following
project: Playground Replacements at 8 Parks, CPN 103940, 103941, 103942,
103943, 103944, 103945, 103946, 103947; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2 to the
CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee.
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which
amends the CONTRACT:
1.
Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated
herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed
by Engineer totals $16,389.00. (See Attached Funding Breakdown)
2.
Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in
the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under
the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all
work and services shall be an amount of $174,158.00.
3.
All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended

herein, shall remain in full force and effect.
EXECUTED and EFFECTIVE as of the date subscribed by the City's

SCOPE OF ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Additional Services relatin� to Floodplain Development Permits:
This additional service covers the four floodplain development permits (FDP) that were
assembled and submitted to the City. Preparation of the FDP for each parl< included review of
the FEMA Flood Insurance Study and FIRMette as well as the preparation of several exhibits
including a location map and grading exhibit with earthworl<volume computations confirming no
fill was tal<ing place within the floodplain. This additional service does not include City fees
associated with the submissions of the Floodplain Development Permits.
Additional Services related to the redesi�n of Jennin�s May St. Louis Parl<:
This additional service covers significant revision to Jennings May St. Louis Parl< after providing
90% Construction Documents at the direction of the City based on their discussion with the
community and budgetary constraints. This revision resulted in significant changes to the layout,
grading, drainage, and landscape design as well as revisions to the equipment schedule, contract
documents, and quantity take offs.
