Subject: FUELING AGREEMENT AT ALLIANCE AIRPORT
as
Staci's Jet Center has provided fueling services at Alliance Airport since the
opening of the Airport. Initially, this service was provided 108 hours per week at
a cost of$6,853 per month. On December 19, 1991, the City Council approved
the purchase of fueling services 45 hours per week from Staci's Jet Center on a
month to month basis for a period not to exceed six months for $3,625 per
month. The authorization for the purchase of fueling services expires on June 20,
1992. No other public fueling service is available at Alliance Airport.
It is anticipated that when a private operator of Alliance Airport is in place, the
responsibility of providing fueling services will be the operator's. Because of
delays in the development of a request for bids for the operation and management
of the airport, the projected date to have an operator in place is October 1, 1992.
Should the City Council desire to continue fueling services at Alliance, staff
recommends a month to month arrangement with Staci's Jet Center until
September 30, 1992. One current advantage of providing fueling services at
Alliance is that as corporate representatives fly in to view economic development
opportunities at Alliance, they can have their planes fueled at the airport.
Staff requests guidance from the City Council as whether to continue fueling
services at Alliance Airport.
