ACKNOWLEDGING MAYOR PARKER'S 2025 APPOINTMENTS TO
THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth established the Housing Authority of
the City of Fort Worth, Texas, currently doing business as Fort Worth Housing Solutions ("FWHS"),
on January 5, 1983, and
WHEREAS, FWHS is a housing authority created and operated in accordance with Chapter 392
of the Texas Local Government Code to provide decent, safe housing for low- to moderate -income
residents, and
WHEREAS, Section 392.031 grants authority to the Mayor to appoint persons to serve as
commissioners for FWHS; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners for FWHS is comprised of five (5) commissioners
appointed to serve two-year terms, and
WHEREAS, Richard M. Stinson and Carlos S. Walker, Sr. are current Commissioners of
FWHS with terms set to expire on January 31, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Parker has agreed to Richard M. Stinson and Carlos S. Walker, Sr. to
serve another two-year term beginning on February 1, 2025, and ending on January 31, 2027.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ACKNOWLEDGED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS THAT MAYOR PARKER WILL MAKE THE FOLLOWING
APPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
1. Richard M. Stinson for a term ending on January 31, 2027; and
2. Carlos S. Walker, Sr, for a term ending on January 31, 2027.
Adopted this 281 day of January 2025.
