The contractor notified the City of the conflict after the supports were installed and proposed adjusting the supports for $7,090.00. The contractor did not charge for relocating the light fixture. The City agreed to pay the contractor $2,257.00 after the contractor removed equipment charges, overhead and profit charges, and half of the remaining cost. • CMR 38 Digester 1 and 2 Side Access Manways —There are no side access manways on Digesters 1 and 2 which limit interior access. With the addition of the new pumped mixing systems, it would be beneficial to facilitate access for future maintenance of the pipe and spray nozzles. The addition of 48-inch side manways will improve access and save cost on crane rentals equipment during future maintenance activities. Two to three days crane rental will pay for the cost of a manway. • CMR 39 Digester Control Building No. 1 Deck. The original contract included replacing the built- up roof system of Digester Control Building No. 1. During preparation for the worl<, the contractor noticed rotted gypsum board in areas of the existing bulb T deck and signs of water leaks inside the control building. Replacement of the deck is necessary. This change order will provide for demolition and disposal of the existing roof deck, coating the tops of the existing support beams, installation of a new galvanized deck, and protection of the existing electrical gear during the demolition and installation work. The contractor initially proposed $41,965.00 for the work but agreed to a reduction in demolition and equipment costs for a final proposed price of $37,623. The proposed price is fair and reasonable considering that demolition, roof deck installation, and protection will take place in sections to minimize exposure of the electrical gear to the elements. • Item A1-9 Concrete Injections —The original contract included 36 LF of concrete crack injections for Digesters 7 and 8. Digesters 7 and 8 required extensive cracl< injection in the interior construction joints, totaling 362 LF. This change order provides for an additional 326 LF of concrete injection. • 48 additional calendar days. Approved CMR's are saved in E-builder. .Contract Compliance Manager By signing I aclmowledge that I am the person responsible for the monitoring and administration of this contract, including ensuring all performance and reporting requirements.
