AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A 20-FOOT
WIDE BY 155.96-FOOT LONG UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED
WITHIN LOT 22, BLOCK 1, RIDGLEA COUNTRY CLUB
ESTATES, FORT WORTH, TEXAS, AND CONTAINING
APPROXIMATELY 0.072 ACRES OF LAND; PROVIDING FOR
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID .LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That a 20-foot wide by 155.96-foot long utility easement located within Lot
22, Block 1, Ridglea Country Club Estates, an addition to the City of Fort Worth,
Texas, containing. approximately 0.072 acres of land, and as recorded in Volume
388-164, Page 12, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically
described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be
and the same is vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 20-foot wide by
155.96-foot long utility easement within Lot 22, Block 1, Ridglea Country Club Estates, as recorded in
Volume 388-164, Page 12, Plats Records, Tarrant County, Texas, containing 0.072 acres of land.
DISCUSSION:
Chris and Allison Snyder, owners of the above-described property, have requested vacation of the
referenced utility easement to expand a building area. There are no known utilities in the easement.
The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1.00 will satisfy the
public interest. Reviewing City departments and public, utility companies have raised no objections to
this request. A replat is not required.
This property is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 3.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
