That Section 35-56(g), Article III "Charges" of Chapter 35 "Water and Sewers" of the Code of the City of Fort Worth (1986), as amended, is hereby further amended to be and read as follows: (g) The following schedule of rates per month, or fraction thereof, shall be the charges to all wholesale customers for furnishing water to such customers: RATES FOR WHOLESALE WATER SERVICE Volume($/1,000 gallons)* $0.7860 Maximum Day($/MGD excess) $179,738.00 Maximum Hour($/MGD excess) $7,942.00 Customer($/Meter/Month) $25.00 *plus raw water cost RAW WATER SERVICE All uses inside Tarrant Regional Water District shall be $1.0449 per 1,000 gallons per month. All uses outside Tarrant Regional Water District shall be $1.0645 per 1,000 gallons per month. SECTION 2. DISCUSSION: Each year wholesale water and wastewater rate studies are prepared in accordance with the terms of the standard wholesale water and wastewater customer contracts. For Fiscal Year 2013-2014, the wholesale water cost of service study was performed by Water Department Staff. The wholesale wastewater cost of service study was performed by a consultant, Raftelis Financial Consultants. The results of these studies indicate the need for an increase of 15.95 percent in wholesale water rates and a decrease of 3.79 percent in wholesale wastewater rates. The rates as proposed in the tables below will recover the cost of providing wholesale water and wastewater service. These customers are assessed a minimum charge equal to the three year numerical average of the treatment, pumping and transmission charge per 1,000 gallons. The charge for Fiscal Year 2014 shall be $0.7104 per 1,000 gallons per month. RAW WATER RATES Logname: 60WHOLESALE RATES FY14 Page 1 of 2 The cost of untreated water supplied by the Tarrant Regional Water District is $0.95859 for use inside the district and $0.97659 outside the district. Adjusted for street rental and system loss, the raw water charge to customers is $1.0449 inside the district and $1.0645 outside the district and is a direct pass through cost to wholesale water customers.
