AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A 30-FOOT
WIDE BY 1000-FOOT LONG PORTION OF OLD DENTON ROAD,
VILLAGES OF WOODLAND SPRINGS (AKA ONE PRAIRIE
MEADOWS LIMITED), HOPKINS DAVIDSON SURVEY,
ABSTRACT 437, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That a 30-foot wide by 1000-foot long portion of Old Denton Road,
Villages of Woodland Springs (aka One Prairie Meadows Limited) located in the
Hopkins Davidson Survey, Abstract 437, Tarrant County, Texas, and as recorded
in Volume 14705, Page 520, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and
containing 0.69 acres of land and as more specifically described in Exhibit A
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is
vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street right-of-way
is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3:
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a portion of a 30 foot
.wide by approximately 1,000 foot long portion of Old Denton Road, Villages of Woodland Springs (a/k/a
One Prairie Meadows Limited), situated in the Hopkins Davidson Survey, Abstract No. 437, Tarrant
County, Texas and being a portion of those certain tracts of land described by deeds to One Prairie
Meadows, LTD, as recorded in Volume 14705, Page 520, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and
containing 0.69 acres of land.
DISCUSSION:
Mehrdad Moayedi, owner of the above-described properties, has requested vacation of the above
referenced portion of Old Denton Road to replat with the adjoining area. There. are no known utilities
within said road.
The City Plan Commission recommended approval at its public hearing on December 21, 2001. The
Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1.00 will satisfy the
public interest. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to
this request. An acceptable replat has been provided (FP-02-009).
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
