Gonzales, Assistant City Secretary With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Pro tem Bivens called the City Council Work Session of the Fort Worth City Council to order at 1:10 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, in the City Council Conference Room 2020 of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas. 1. Organizational Updates and Employee Recognition(s) City Attorney Leann Guzman recognized Harvey Frye, Senior Assistant City Attorney, for celebrating his milestone this year of 50 years as an attorney. Assistant City Manager Jes McEachern introduced David Lewis as the new Park and Recreation Director. Aviation Director Roger Venables recognized Fort Worth Meacham International Airport on their 100th Anniversary Celebration. City Manager Chapa advised of organizational changes in the executive staff. He also announced the departure of Economic Development Director Robert Sturns and provided an update on the Police Chief recruitment. c. Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and External Audit Results — Reginald Zeno, Financial Management Services Chief Financial Officer and Catherine Perry, Financial Management Services Interim Assistant Finance Director Reginald Zeno, Chief Financial Officer, and Anthony Rousseau, Deputy Finance Director, provided a staff report. 6. Fort Worth Water System Expansion and Capacity Improvements — Chris Harder, Water Director Chris Harder, Water Director, provided a staff report. 7. Update on New City Hall and Council Chambers — Tanyan Farley, Athenian Group VP Client Solutions Tanyan Farley, Athenian Group VP Client Solutions, provided an update on the New City Hall and Council Chambers. 8. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports Council Member Nettles requested an update on the contracts for cutting grass. Council Member Hill requested an Informal Report pertaining to wastewater expansion and improvement.
