AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A PORTION
OF A 10-FOOT WIDE BY 823-FOOT LONG UTILITY EASEMENT
LOCATED WITHIN LOTS 2A AND 2B, BLOCK 3, B. HARRIS
ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS, AND CONTAINING
APPROXIMATE-SLY 0.19 ACRES OF LAND; PROVIDING FOR
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That a portion of a 10-foot wide by 823-foot long utility easement located
within Lots 2A and 2B, Block 3, B. Harris Addition, an addition to the City of Fort
Worth, Texas, containing approximately 0.19 acres of land, and as recorded in
Volume 388-137, Page 97, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and as more
specifically described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference, be and the same is vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

and 2-B, Block 3, B. Harris Addition, according to the plat recorded in
i/olume 388-137, Page 97, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and being
described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING in the east line of Meadowbrook Drive at the intersection of the south line
of said easement with the west line of Lot 2-B;
THENCE North 00 degree 15 minutes 35 seconds East, at 5.00 feet passing the
northwest corner of Lot 2-B and the southwest corner of Lot 2-A, in all, a total distance
of 10.00 feet to the north line of said easement;
THENCE South 89 degrees 48 minutes 25 seconds East a distance of 823.15 feet
along the north line of said easement to the west line of a fifty feet (50') wide Utility
Easement as shown on said plat;
THENCE South 00 degree 11 minutes 13 seconds West, at 5.00 feet passing the south
line of Lot 2-A and the north line of Lot 2-B, in all, a total distance of 10.00 feet to the
south line of said ten feet wide Utility Easement;
THENCE North 89 degrees 48 minutes 25 seconds West a distance of 823.17 feet
along the south line of said easement to the Point ®f Beginning.

2A AND 26, BLOCK 3, B. HARRIS ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS (VA-03-006)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a portion of a 10-foot
wide by 823-foot long utility easement within Lots 2A and 2B, Block 3, B. Harris Addition, according to
the plat recorded in Volume 388-137, Page 97, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and containing
0.19 acres of land.
DISCUSSION:
Jean Timmerman, owner of the above-described properties, has requested vacation of the above
referenced utility easement to expand building area. There are no known utilities in the said easement.
The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division, states that a fee of $1.00 will satisfy the
public interest. The reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections
to this request. A replat is not required.
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 5.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
