Students were able to interact with an adult panel of government and city leaders and to raise the issues that were of concern to the youth. You may recall that Bob Ray Sanders served as the moderator for the meeting and it was broadcast live over the City cable channel . The youth were pleased to have this opportunity for dialogue and action was taken on several concerns raised by the youth. The Steering Committee of Our City Our Children has recommended that the City of Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Independent School District use this model and join together in co-sponsoring an Annual Forum for High School Seniors . An annual forum would provide a structured means for our city leaders to listen and talk with our youth. This forum would be jointly planned and implemented by City and FWISD staff with input from youth as well . A projected time frame for the first forum would be the fall of 1996 . Our City Our Children staff would help coordinate this project . For your information a list of the co-sponsoring organizations of Our City Our Children is attached. e- ity maa ger ............................... WICI AL RECORD MY SECRETARY FT. WIN, TEX.
