The listing was put together in order to give you an overview of current and planned construction projects involving street closures in the Downtown area. The listing contains a description of each project and status f construction. The listing was put together by the Transportation and Public Works, Engineering and Water Departments. It is apparent from the number of projects listed that the Downtown area will continue to experience a large number of full and partial street closures during the next several years. While this will result in considerable disruption of traffic flow on City streets, staff is working to coordinate conflicting projects and to develop traffic control plans during construction that will minimize disruption and ensure the public safety. This subject is scheduled for discussion at the Pre-Council meeting on June 16, 1998 T ` and staff will have maps available to provide a frame of reference for these closures.
