AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A 10 FOOT WIDE BY
450-FOOT LONG ALLEY, LOCATED BETWEEN LOTS 1 THROUGH 18,
BLOCK 1, ZILHLIVIAN'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS; PR®VIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERElNITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT a 10-foot wide by 450-long alley, located between Lots 1 through 18, Block 1,
Zilhlman's Addition, City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and containing
approximately 4,500 square feet of land, and as recorded in Volume 309, Page 70, Deed
Records, Tarrant County, Texas and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated alley is.hereby released and
shall revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

SUBJECT ALLEY VACATION: BETWEEN LOTS 1 THROUGH 18, BLOCK 1, ZILHLMAN'S
ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS (VA-03-003)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 10-foot wide by 450
foot long alley between Lots 1 through 18, Block 1, Zilhlman's Addition, according to the plat recorded
in Volume 309, Page 70, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, containing 4,500 square feet of land.
DISCUSSION:
Fort Worth Osteopathic Hospital, owner of the above-described properties:, has requested vacation of
the referenced alley to replat with adjoining land. The existing improvements include paving, parking,
and above grade telephone and electric lines, where said alley shall be retained as a utility easement.
The City Plan Commission recommended approval at its public hearing on January 22, 2003.
The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division, states that a fee of $1,800 has been
paid. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this
request. An acceptable replat has been provided (FS-99-103).
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
