'•�° SUBJECT: Master Thoroughfare Amendment-Realignment of Heritage Trace
Parkway and Park Vista Boulevard
When the City Council adopted the 2002 Master Thoroughfare Plan in February of 2002, three areas
were identified on the map as needing additional study. One of the three areas included the roadway
alignments between North Beach St ree t o nd US from Kell er Hicks R oa d south to Herit a g e Trace ace
Parkway/Kroger Drive in northeast Fort Worth. This area includes Golden Triangle Boulevard,
Heritage Trace Parkway, and Park Vista Boulevard. Over the past year, various alignments and
alternatives were developed and reviewed with public officials and property owners. Specific
alignments were developed and brought forward to the City Council as a MTP amendment at the
April 22, 2003 City Council meeting.
At the April 22 public hearing, the City Council tabled the item until the May 27 City Council
meeting so that additional public meetings could be held to allow more input and discussion of the
proposed alignments with interested business and property owners.
A public meeting was held on May 19, 2003 to allow additional discussion by business and property
owners in the area of the proposed alignments. Staff has requested additional time to consider the
comments from the May 19`h meeting and has asked that this MTP amendment be placed on the June
17 03 City Council agen for a public hearing.
