With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Parker called the City
Council Work Session of the Fort Worth City Council to order at 1:19 p.m. on Tuesday,
April 15, 2025, in the City Council Work Session Room of the Fort Worth City Hall, 100
Fort Worth Trail, Fort Worth, Texas.

City Manager Jay Chapa called on:

25-0052 Cost of Recognizing an Additional Holiday - Holly Moyer, Human
Resources Interim Director
City Manager Chapa indicated that this information will also be included in a
future budget work shop discussion.
25-0053 ECC and 911 TEXT Communication Systems - Aubry Insco, Emergency
Management and Communications, 9-1-1 Communications Administrator or
Sonny Saxton, Emergency Management and Communications Director
Council Member Beck recommended staff develop a public awareness
campaign on this feature.
25-0054 FY25 Pavement Maintenance Program Update - Lauren Prieur,
Transportation and Public Works Director
Mayor Parker recommended improved signage for projects that would raise
awareness in the community on the project.
25-0055 Park and Recreation Department Facilities Admission and Membership
Fees - Dave Lewis, Park and Recreation Director
Council Member Beck requested the Department consider free admission for
veterans and fee for non-resident for the nature center and golf facilities.
Council Member Lauersdorf requested that first responders be included in the
free admission offerings.

Council Member Williams requested an update on the Distemper outbreak and how the
Department will handle future outbreaks.

9. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports
and
Council Member Beck requested a Report on a Process for Coordinating Project Timing
Across Departments.
Council Member Beck requested an Equity Analysis for the 2026 Bond Program.
Council Members Nettles and Williams requested a Report on City Pools and
Partnerships with the YMCA and School Districts on Access to Pools.
Council Member Williams requested an Update on the market Analysis Study.
Council Member Williams requested the Costs for Increasing the Minimum Wage to
$20.00 per hour.
Mayor Pro Tem Bivens requested an update on the Southeast Connector Project.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Mayor Parker adjourned the meeting at 3:59 p.m.
