This plant was originally constructed in 1992 and was subsequently expanded in 2001 to 70 million gallons per day (MGD). This plant serves the rapidly growing Alliance area and Lake Country in addition to wholesale customers such as Northlake, Keller and South Lake. The recently completed Water Master Plan projects an increase in the total peak flow for this area of 31 MGD by 2007. In order to meet the projected peak day water demands, the Water Master Plan recommends an immediate expansion of the plant. Freese & Nichols will provide overall program management for the expansion of the plant. As program manager, Freese & Nichols will be responsible for project scheduling, regulatory coordination, public outreach services, development of a conceptual design report, and a master plan for the plant site. In addition, Freese & Nichols will conduct preliminary pilot plant testing to evaluate the feasibility of the membrane treatment process and perform life cycle cost comparisons with the conventional water treatment process. 0 fhe conceptual design reports for the raw water intake, raw water pump station, raw water transmission main, plant expansion, and high service pump station will serve as the basis for upcoming requests for proposals for design services from engineering firms to be awarded separately as shown below: Task Council Consideration Estimated Cost Program Management Aril 2004 $ 800,000 Plant Expansion and High Service Pump Station (Design) July 2004 $ 4,000,000 Raw Water Pump Station and Intake Structure (Design) July 2004 $ 1,200,000 Raw Water Transmission Main (Design) August 2004 $ 800,000 Construction Management February 2005 $ 3,000,000 Plant Expansion and High Service Pump Station October 2005 $40,000,000 (Construction) Raw Water Pump Station and Intake Structure October 2005 $ 8,000,000 (Construction) Parallel Raw Water Transmission Main (Construction) November 2005 $ 7,000,000 Total Estimated Program $64,800,000 Should you have any additional questions, please let me know. aq. t ar aqrkon 3ity Manager Fl., ISSUED BY THE CITY MANAGER FORT WORTH, TEXAS
