AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A 10-FOOT WIDE
ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN LOTS 2 THROUGH 9 BLOCK 216,
NORTH FORT WORTH AND JOHN BAUGH SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO.
115, FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN
SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT a 10-foot wide alley located between Lots 2 through 9, Block 216, North
Fort Worth and John Baugh Survey, Abstract 115, containing 0.087 acres of land, as
recorded in Volume 106, Page 131, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and as
more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference be and the same is vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above-described vacated alley is hereby released
and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
10' Alley
Being a tract of land situated in the City of Fort Worth, Torrant County, Texas, and being part of the 10' alley of
Block 216 according to the plat of Nor4h Ft. Worth, recorded in Volume 106, Poge 131, Plat Records, Tarrant
County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
COMMENCING at an "X" cut found for the southwest corner of Lot 9, Block 216 of said North Fort Worth Addition,
same being at the in#ersection of the east right-of-way line of North Main Street (a 100' right-of-woy) and the
north right-of-way line of Northeost 14th Street (0 60' right-of-way);
THENCE North 50'26'17" East, with the south line of sold Lot 9 and the north right-of-way line of Northeast
14th Street, 110.03 teet to the POINT OF BEGINNING;
THENCE North 30'00'00" West, leaving said north right-of-way line and with the eost line of said Block 216,
381.72 feet to o point;
THENCE North 60'00'00"East, 10.00 feet to a point ~in the west line of Tract, 2, described in the deed to the City
of Fort Worth Texas, recorded in Volume 11860, Page 1760, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE South 30'00'00" East, with the west line of said Troct 2, 380.04 feet to a point in the north

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 10-foot wide alley
between Lots 2-9, Block 216, North Fort Worth and John Baugh Survey, Abstract No. 115, according to
North Fort Worth plat recorded in Volume 106, Page 131, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and
containing 0.087 acres or 3,809 square feet of land.
DISCUSSION:
The City of Fort Worth, owner of the above described property, has requested vacation of the above-
described alley for parking and building construction. Existing improvements include parking and sewer
lines. Said alley is to'be retained as a utility easement. The Engineering Department, Real Property
Services. Division states that a fee of $663.23 was waived per M&C L-13407 dated October 1, 2002.
Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised na objections to this request. An
acceptable replat has been submitted (FS-03-029).
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
