AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A 63.86-FOOT
WIDE BY APPROXIMATELY 341.80-FOOT LONG PORTION OF
LIPSCOMB STREET, STONE'S SUBDIVISION OF FIELD WELCH
ADDITION, AND TWO ALLEYS BEING 11 FEET .WIDE BY 362.36 FEET
LONG AND 11 FEET WIDE BY 383 FEET LONG, RESPECTIVELY,
LOCATED WITHIN THE GLENDALE SUBDIVISION OF BLOCK 17 OF
THE FIELD WELCH ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING
FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the following street and alleys described below:
1. a 63.86feet wide by approximately 341.80 feet long portion of Lipscomb
Street, bounded on the West by Lot R-9R, Block 16, Stone's Subdivision
of the Field-Welch Addition and as recorded in Volume in Volume 388-
155, Page 38 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas; on the East
by Lot R-1-R, Block 17 of the Glendale Subdivision of the Field-Welch
Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-193, Page 60 of the Plat Records of
Tarrant County, Texas; on the South by Lipscomb Street as vacated by
.City Ordinance No. 13835; and on the North by a line extending from
Southeast corner of the tract of land conveyed to the Texas Department
of Transportation as recorded in Volume 14010, Page 326 of the Deed
Records of Tarrant County, Texas to the Southwest corner of a tract of
land conveyed to the Texas Department of Transportation as recorded in
Volume 14010, Page 324 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, and
containing 21,823 square feet of land.
2. two 11 feet wide alleys located in the Glendale Subdivision of Block 17 of
the Field-Welch Addition, Fort Worth Tarrant County, Texas by instrument
recorded in Volume 155, Page 214 of the Deed Records of Tarrant
County, Texas,
and as more specifically described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
incorporated herein, by reference be and the same are vacated and
extinguished:
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above-described vacated street portion and alleys
is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effecf upon adoption.

Texas and the northerly alley being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the south right-of-way of West Rosedale as described
in the deed to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDot) described in
Volume 14010, Page 324 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, .Texas and
being N80°54'54"E, 95.19 ft. from a point in the east right-of-way of Lipscomb

FIELD-WELCH ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating the following:
1. A portion of a 63.86 foot wide by approximately 341.80 feet long, Lipscomb Street bounded on the
west by Lot R-9R, Block 16, Stone's Subdivision of the Field-Welch Addition as recorded in Volume
388-155, Page 38 of the Plat Records; Tarrant County Texas; on the east by Lot R-1-R, Block 17, of
Glendale Subdivision of the Field-Welch Addition as recorded in Volume 388-193, Page 60 of the
Plat Records of Tarrant County,Texas; on the south by Lipscomb Street as vacated by City
Ordinance No. 13835; and on the north by a line extending from southeast corner of the tract of land
conveyed to the Texas Department of Transportation as recorded in Volume 14010, Page 326 of
the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas to the southwest corner of a tract of land conveyed to
the Texas Department of Transportation as recorded in Volume 14010, Page 324 of the Deed
Records of Tarrant County, and containing 21,823 square feet of land; and
2. Two alleys, of which one is 11 feet wide by 362.36 feet long, and the other being11 feet wide by 383
feet long, located in the Glendale Subdivision of Block 17 of the Field Welch Addition, Fort Worth
Tarrant County, Texas by instrument recorded in Volume 155, Page 214 of the Deed Records of
Tarrant County, Texas, and containing 8,199 square feet of land.
DISCUSSION:
Northwest Bank, owner of above-described properties along with co-applicant, Phoix Property
Company of Texas, have requested vacation of the above referenced street and alleys.
The City Plan Commission recommended approval at its Public Hearing on April 28, 1999. The
Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that an acquisition fee of $57,499.20
was paid by check number 1277. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised
no objections to this request. An acceptable replat has been provided (FS-03-033).
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on the City funds.
