Call to Order - Mattie Parker, Mayor With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Parker called the Budget and Bond Work Session on the FY2026 Budget to order at 9:11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in the City Council Work Session Room, 100 Fort Worth Trail, Fort Worth, Texas. 2. Opening Remarks - Christianne Simmons, Chief Transformation Officer Opening comments were made by Jay Chapa, City Manager, and Christianne Simmons, Chief Transformation Officer. Solid Waste and Environmental Rates - Pamela Rambo Sexton, Environmental Services Assistant Director Presentation was provided by Pamela Rambo Sexton, Environmental Services Assistant Director. • Council Member Hill requested an analysis of subsidies for the landfill. • Council Member Hill requested options for an assistance program for residents to help cover the fee increases for residents unable to cover the increased fee. 4. Street Maintenance Funding - Lane Zarate, T/PW Assistant Director Presentation was made by Lane Zarate, Transportation and Public Works, Assistant Director. • Council Member Lauersdorf requested information on where public transit ranked on the citizen survey. • Council Member Hill requested a breakdown of commitments including future commitments for uses for sales tax. 5. Stormwater Fees - Jennifer Dyke, T/PW Assistant Director Presentation was made by Jennifer Dyke, Transportation and Public Works Assistant Director. • Council Member Blaylock requested a summary of the impact of all proposed increases to residents. 6. Water and Sewer Preliminary Budget- Chris Harder, Water Director Presentation was made by Chris Harder, Water Director. 7. Budget Responses - Holly Moyer, Human Resources Interim Director Items will be discussed with Council Members individually.
