RECORD CITY) SLECRETARY M/WBE Breakdown for this Change Order M,WBE Sub Total Previous Change Orders CO# GATE AiVlQCliT Total © OFFICIAL RECORD U""T" 4'TE T IET°TTIIi Y i °"il W(')R F-,I TAX M&C Review Page 1 of 2 Y COUNCIL �"�� ����l COUNCIL ACTION: Approved on 10/29/2013 REFERENCE ** 20SW_KINGS DATE: 10/29/2013 NO.: C-26537 LOG NAME: OAK CHANGE ORDER #1 CODE: C TYPE: CONSENT PUBLIC NO HEARING: SUBJECT: Authorize Execution of Change Order No. 1 to City Secretary Contract No. 43831, in the Amount of$109,831.00, with Conatser Construction TX, LP, for the Kings Oak Circle and Haltom Road Drainage Improvements Project, Thereby Increasing the Total Contract to the Amount of$984,146.00 (COUNCIL DISTRICT 4) RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council authorize execution of Change Order No. 1 to City Secretary Contract No.43831, in the amount of$109,831.00, with Conatser Construction TX, LP, for the Kings Oak Circle and Haltom Road Drainage Improvements Project, thereby increasing the total contract to the amount of$984,146.00. DISCUSSION: The change order recommended by this Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) will primarily provide compensation for the full-width pavement on Haltom Road (from 300 block to 600 block) and quantities related to it. During design it was anticipated that only trench repairs in the street above the excavated areas would be needed as a result of this project. Actual field conditions discovered during construction, however, indicated that full-width pavement repair is needed. On September 25, 2012, (original M&C C-25865) the City Council authorized an Agreement with Conatser Construction TX, LP, to construct this project to correct street and home flooding in the Kings Oak Addition. Funding for this project is being provided from revenue bonds in the Stormwater Capital Projects Bond Fund. M/WBE Office: Conatser Construction TX, LP, is in compliance with the City's BIDE Ordinance by committing to an additional 18 percent MBE participation on this Change Order No. 1. The City's goal on this change order is seven percent. This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 4, Mapsco 49Z and 63D. FISCAL INFORMATIONICERTIFICATION: The Financial Management Services Director certifies that funds are available in the current capital budget, as appropriated, of the Stormwater Capital Projects Bond Fund.
