AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN
THE WATER CAPITAL PROJECT FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $122,205.47 AND THE
SEWER CAPITAL PROJECT FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $11,671.27 FROM AVAILABLE
FUNDS, FOR THE PURPOSE FUNDING AN ENGINEERING AGREEMENT WITH PATE
ENGINEERS, INC. FOR WATER AND SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT CONTRACT
2003 STM-E; MAKING THOS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments far Fiscal Year 2002-2003 in the
Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Water Capital Project Fund in the amount of $122,205.47 and the Sewer Capital Project Fund in the amount
of $11,671.27 from available funds, for the purpose of funding an engineering agreement with Pate
Engineers, Inc. for Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement Contract 2003 STM-E.
SECTION 2_
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void
far any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way
impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining
provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 15184 and all other ordinances and appropriations
amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict
with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior
ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

BUBJECT APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AND ENGINEERING AGREEMENT WITH PATE
ENGINEERS, INC. FOR WATER AND SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT CONTRACT

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Authorize the transfer of $133,876.74 from the Water and Sewer Operating Fund to the Water
Capital Project Fund in the amount of $122,205.47, and the Sewer Capital Project Fund in the
amount of $11,671.27 from available funds; and
2. Adapt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Water Capital Project Fund in the amount of $122,205.47, and the Sewer Gapital Project Fund in
the amount of $11,671.27 from the available funds; and
3. Authorize the City Manager to execute an engineering agreement with Pate Engineers, Inc. in the
amount of $128,876.74 far Water and Sewer Replacement Contract 2003 STM-E.
DISCUSSION:
The project consists of the preparation of plans and specifications for water and sanitary sewer line
replacements as indicated on the fallowing streets:

SUBJECT APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AND ENGINEERING AGREEMENT WITH PATE
ENGINEERS, INC. FOR WATER AND SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT CONTRACT
2003 STM-E
Pate Engineers, Inc. is in compliance with the City's M1WBE Ordinance by committing to 25°lo MNVBE
participation. The City's goal an this praject is 20°l0.
In addition to the contract amount, $5,000.00 {water: $4,000.00, sewer: $1,000.00} is required far
project management by the Engineering Department.
The praject is located in COUNCIL DISTRICTS 2, 8 and 9, Mapsco 61 D, 62D, X and Y, 76B and D and
78J.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Finance Director certifies that upon approval and completion of recommendation No. 1 and
adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the current capital budgets,
as appropriated, of the Water and Sewer Capital Project Funds.
