AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FROM
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS; RELEASING SOME OF THE TER-
RITORY FROM THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION
OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; CONSENTING TO THE
ANNEXATION OF SAID TERRITORY BY THE CITY OF
EULESS; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL
AMEND EVERY PRIOR ORDINANCE IN DIRECT CON-
FLICT; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE
CUMULATIVE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND
NAMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT pursuant to a joint resolution passed by the City of
Fort Worth and the City of Euless:
THAT the hereinafter described territory within the corpor-
ate limits of the City of Fort Worth be and the same is hereby
discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth; said territory
being described as Tract A, B, and Y, said tracts being more
particularly described in attached Exhibits A, B, and Y, and
shown in Exhibit M, said Exhibits A, B, Y, and M being incorpor-
ated as if set out in full herein.
Said property is of at least three (3) acres, contiguous,
adjacent to the boundaries of the City of Fort Worth, unimprov-
ed. The City of Fort Worth has population in excess of four
thousand (4,000) people and is located in a County in excess of
two hundred five thousand (205,000) people.
SECTION 2.
THAT the City of Fort Worth hereby relinquishes to the City
of Euless all extraterritorial jurisdictional rights over the
territory described herein as Tract A and B, shown in attached
Exhibits A,B, and M, under the provisions of the Texas Municipal
Annexation Act (Article 970a, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas,
as amended). The City of Fort Worth expressly retains all extra-
territorial jurisdictional rights to the territory described as
Tract Y, described in attached Exhibits Y and M.
SECTION 3.
THAT the City of Fort Worth hereby consents to the annexa-
tion of the hereinabove described Tracts A and B by the City of
Euless.
SECTION 4.
THAT this ordinance shall and does amend every prior ordi-
nance in conflict herewith, but as to all other ordinances or
sections of ordinances not in direct conflict, this ordinance
shall be, and the same is hereby made cumulative.
SECTION 5.
THAT it is hereby declared to be the intent of the City
Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and
phrases of this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase,
clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall
be declared unconstitutional by the valid judgment or decree of
any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality
shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentenc-
es, paragraphs and sections of this ordinance, since the same
would have been enacted by the City Council without the incor-
poration in this ordinance of any such unconstitutional phrase,
clause, sentence, paragraph or section.
SECTION 6.
THAT this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.

Being 0.2 acres of land situated in the A. J. Huitt Survey, Abstract
Number 709, Tarrant County, Texas and being a portion of that certain
tract of land owned by H. K. Huie, Jr., as described in deed recorded�in
Volume 4907, Page 666, Tarrant County Deed Records, said 0.2 acres of land
being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
COMMENCING at the intersection of the easterly right-of-way line of
Huntington Drive (a variable width public right-of-way) with the southerly
right-of-way line of State Highway Number 183 (a variable width public
right-of-way) ;
THENCE S 890 52' 49" E, along said southerly right-of-way line, 80.79
feet to a point in the intersection of F.A.A. Drive (a proposed 68.0 foot
wide public right-of-way);
THENCE leaving said southerly right -of -way -line and along said westerly
right-of-way line, the following courses and distances;
S 000 07' 11" W, 415.00 feet to the beginning of a curve to the left
whose radius is 450.00 feet;
Along said curve through a central angle of 300 00' 00", a distance of
235.73 feet-,

whose radius is 950.00 feet;
Along said curve through a central angle of 101 40' 37", a distance of
177.03 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of the tract herein described:

through a central angle of 05' 08' 34", a distance of 85.27 feet;
THENCE S 14° 08' 56" E, continuing along said westerly right-of-way line,
271.92 feet to a point in the centerline of a creek;
THENCE leaving said westerly right-of-way line and along said centerline

On October 28, 1981, the City Council adopted a joint resolution providing for
the adjustment of City limit lines between Fort Worth and Euless assisting in
the development of the Huie Addition. The City Council in the approval of the
joint resolution, authorized and directed the City staff to submit boundary
adjustment ordinances as necessary.
In accordance with the terms of the agreement, an ordinance has been prepared
by Fort Worth providing for the disannexation of Tracts A and B, totaling 1.6
acres and Tract Y, totaling 3.9 acres. A map (Exhibit M) illustrating the
territory to be disannexed is attached.
Recommendation:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the disannexation ordinance
discontinuing territory to be subsequently annexed by Euless, while retaining
extraterritorial jurisdiction over the remainders.
