That 60-foot wide, variable length portions of Lawnwood Street and S. yi�111�1q� III Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and containing a total of 13,823.21 square feet of land and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same are vacated and extinguished. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law. SECTION 3. I I I COUNCIL ACTION: Approved on 9/30/2003 - Ord.# 15707 DATE: Tuesday, September 30, 2003 REFERENCE NO.: **PZ-2506 SUBJECT: Adoption of an Ordinance Vacating Portions of Lawnwood Street and South Retta Street, Riverside Addition, Fort Worth, Texas (VA-03-019) RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating 60 foot-wide, variable length, portions of Lawnwood Street and South Retta Street, in the Riverside Addition, as shown on a Plat recorded in Volume 63, Page 97 of the Tarrant County Deed Records, and containing 13,823.21 square feet. DISCUSSION: Avomex, Inc., owner of the Lots 1-R, 2, 3 and 4, Block 52-R, Riverside Addition has requested vacation of the above referenced street portions to replat with the adjoining land and expand building/parking area. Existing improvements include electric utilities, and appropriate easements will be retained. The City Plan Commission recommended approval at it's Public Hearing on May 28, 2003. The Engineering Department, Real Property Management Division states that an acquisition fee of $6,717.00 was paid by Check No. 023446. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this request. An acceptable replat has been provided (FS-03-127).
