AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT CERTAIN UTILITY EASEMENTS IN BLOCK 293, WEDGWOOD ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE- CLOSED AND VACATED, AND PROVIDING THAT THE CUL-DE-SAC AT THE INTERSECTION OF CIBOLO DRIVE AND ED GRECO AVENUE BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED ; PROVIDING FOR THE RE- VERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND ; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EF- FECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CIFY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS : SECTION 1. That the followJ.ng described utility easements in Block 293, Wedgwood Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same are hereby extinguisbe&, vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as easements far public utilities : The east-west easement, 10 feet in width and 948 .2 feet in length between Lots 1 through 10 and Tract C; The north-south easement, 10 feet in width and 115 feet in length between Lots 1 and 2 ; The north-south easement, 10 feet in width and 98 feet in length between Lots 8 and 9. SECTION 2 . That the following described portion of the cul-de-sac type juncture at the intersection of Cibolo Drive and El Greco Avenue be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and perma- nently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever : of Cibolo Drive with the east line of Vega Drive, said iron pin being South 83' 52 ' East 12 .9 feet from the southwest corner of Lot 7, Block 293, Wedgwood Addition, as shown on plat recorded in Vol. 388-51, page 48, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas , said iron pin being also the point of curve in the north line of said Cibolo Drive as shown on a revised plat of Cibolo Drive and recorded in Vol. 383-54, page 49, Plat Records of Tar- rant County, Texas ; Thence along the old right of way of Cibolo Drive South 83' 52 ' East 97 .6 feet to the be- ginning of a curve to the left having a radius of 30.0 feet; Thence along said curve to the left 41.8 feet to end of this curve and the beginning of another curve, this one to the right having a radius of 70.0 feet, then along said curve to the right, 214 .36 feet to the end of this curve and the beginning of another curve, this one to the left having a radius of 80.0 feet, then along said curve to the left, 41.8 feet to an iron pin at the end of said curve to the left, said iron pin being in the east line of El Greco Avenue as shown on said plat recorded in Vol. 388-51, page 43 , and said iron pin being a common point on said new right of way of Cibolo Drive as shown in Vol . 388-54, page 49; Thence along the new northerlS7 right of way of said Cibolo Drive© along a curve to the left having a radius of 70.0 feet, a distance of 109 .96 feet to the end of curve, thence North 530 21 ' West 51.5 feet to the beginning of a curve to the left having a radius of 245 .82 feet, 'then along said curve to the left 109 .47 feet to the point of be- ginning. SECTION 3 . That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said easements and the portion of the cul-de- sac above described is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 4 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict SECTION 5 . That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage . T-;0-221 WILKES The Fssex and Tra:Ll.wood Land Companies, owners or all adjoining land, have requested that the City vacate an east-west and two north-south utility easements in Block 293, Wedgwo,)d Additi.on, as shown on the attached map. The Applicants also request that the City vacate a portion of the street 'right-of-way at the intersection of Cibolo Drive and El Greco Avenue as shown on the attached 'map. Subject easements and right-oi-way, acquired by dedication, are unimproved. City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and have no ob.lecLi.ons. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the utility easements and right-of-way as requested. A, replat has been, reviewed and approved. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject utility easements and right-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
