Walter Geyer, owner of all abutting property, has requested that the City
NVZWK vacate that portion of the alley in Block 43, Belmont Park Addition, from
the north line of Lots 7 and 18 south to Ephriham Avenue (Highway 183) , as
shown on the attached map. The alley right-of-way was acquired by dedica-
tion but has not been improved or opened. The alley contains electric and
telephone facilities, and both Texas Electric Service and Southwestern Bell
Telephone Companies have requested that a 10 foot easement be retained for
existing facilities.
City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and
have no objections provided an easement is provided for existing utilities and
an outlet is provided for the remaining dedicated alley. A replat has been
submitted which satisfies these requirements. The City Plan Commission has
reviewed this request and recommends that an ordinance be adopted vacating
subject right-of-way as requested.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject right-of-
way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
